How this company came to be

The first call is where most of the work actually happens. We ask what you are seeing, how the door behaves, whether the keys are lost or simply left inside, and what kind of vehicle you are standing beside. Those few minutes mean the technician arrives with the right blanks, cylinders and tools, and can give you a clear picture of the job before starting.

We would rather ask one question too many than turn up unprepared. Once on site we confirm you are entitled to access, walk you through the plan, and check that you are comfortable with it. Only then do the tools come out.

Careful work on every kind of lock.

We think of a lockout as the start of a relationship, not a one-off rescue. Once the door is open we take a moment to look at why it happened: a latch that locks behind you when the wind slams it, a key worn past the point of reliability, a spare that lives nowhere. A small fix or a second key cut often means we never see you in the cold again.

The key you reach for. The door you come home to. Good locksmith work begins with understanding how you use them.

  • A straight assessment. If the lock is fine and the door just needs adjusting, we say so. If it has reached the end of its life, we say that too, and show you why.
  • Options laid out side by side. Repair, rekey, replace or upgrade, with what each involves and what it changes. You pick; we do not steer you toward the biggest job.
  • Finished, not nearly finished. Every key tested in every lock, every screw tight, every strike aligned, and the packaging in our van rather than your bin.

How a visit goes

Describe the property, the hardware and what has changed, and the visit starts from what you have seen.

    Deciding what to replace

We look at the existing lock, the door thickness and the holes already drilled. Sometimes a new cylinder is enough; sometimes the whole lockset has earned its retirement.

    Fitting the new hardware

The new lock goes in with the strike adjusted so the bolt throws fully. If the old holes need filling or enlarging, that is done neatly.

    Checking fit and finish

We test the lock with the door open and closed, from both sides, check the key turns without effort and clean up the doorstep before leaving.
